![]() The best gaming headphone I've used is the AKG K712 Pro but it's hard to drive despite the 62ohm impedance. The HD58X is a solid choice for music but it has a pretty smallish soundstage especially compared to the X2 and HD599. Don't get the 250ohm or especially not the 600ohm models unless you have an amp. I'm not a fan of the lower end Beyerdynamics as I find them too hot in the treble BUT, for gaming you may not find that a problem. The Sennheiser HD599/599SE ( Amazon specific but the same headphone in a different color ) are also very good choices for the same reasons. The X2 has a huge soundstage and very good imaging so is a good choice for a gaming headphone. I don't know anything about mics so I can't help you there but there are youtube vids with comparisons. In any case, hoping to get some help, waiting to hear your suggestions, thanks. If the headphones will leak sound back into the microphone), the DT880/DT990 Pro w/ ModMic (not sure if this combo will give me better quality over what I have), and the Sennheiser HD58x w/ ModMic (not sure if the HD58x will leak so much to where audio comes back into the mic. The mic will sound better than my current one, and 2. ![]() Reason being I sometimes experience an issue where the headphones will leak sound into the mic, not really a probably on PC since I have a noise gate set up, but when playing on PS4 it's a bigger issue.Ī few popular headset combos that I seen were the Philips Fidelio X2HR w/ V-Moda Boom Pro (but I don't know if 1. My current headset is a Sennheiser PC37x Headset (which I know is already pretty good) however I'm looking to try and upgrade from that. Any suggestions could be an all in one solution where it's a pair of headphones that comes with a mic attached, or a pair of headphones and order something like a ModMic or V-Moda Boom Pro separately. I'm looking for great sound (both from the headphones and the mic, if it comes with one), good comfort, not too much clamping force, good imaging, good soundstage, decent bass response. Looking around to see if I can find a good headset that I can use for gaming (specifically competitive fps games).
